My name is Xiaxian Ou (欧夏娴). My master’s work in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Emory University, under the supervision of Razieh Nabi, focuses on causal path-specific effect (PSE) analysis. My research centers on multiply robust estimators derived from efficient influence functions and their applications in health disparities.
Before starting my master’s program, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Peking University. My medical background sparked my interest in statistical methods that can address real-world health problems.
Beyond academics, I’m also interested in psychology. Psychological concepts help me better understand human cognition—a fascinating process.
